Back to a visual question for the daily quiz.
The question has two parts.
First, you'll have to identify the place from the photograph.
Once you do that, you'll have to tell us the significance of this particular photograph, taken in 2006.
Please send your answers to shovon76[at]gmail[dot]com.
The answer will be published tomorrow.

Answer: The place is St. Peter's Square at Vatican City. The stone tablet, towards the bottom of the photo, marks the exact location where Mehmet Ali Ağca tried to assassinate Pope Jon Paul II on 13 May 1981. The Pope was struck 4 times and suffered severe blood loss.

  1. This is definitely Vatican City - not sure about the significance.

    1. You are close. Take a closer look, is what I'll suggest.
